Elysium Playground is a project run by Jesse Walker and the pages within this website attempt to chronicle the events and personalities of a particular group of people in Tallahassee, FL.  This is not a complete record of everyone and everything that happens within this group.  It is a personal snapshot.  All that can be chronicled are events that are witnessed by people willing to record them.   

Jesse Walker is someone you may term a "class historian personality" if you are being kind or a "annoying person with a camera" if you aren't.

The Scene in question is hard to define.  If you were to use the labels of genres, then we would be: Goth; Vampire; Steampunk; Cyberpunk; Gutterpunk; Punk; Faerie (as in the little people); Fairy (as in the gay people); Computer Nerd; Computer Guru; Luddite; Musicians; Fetishists; Straight Edge; and many more labels than I know.  

Basically this scene in particular originated out of a group who met together frequently at Epitome Coffee House.  An institution that is now sadly closed.  We can now often be found in the resurrected carcass of that establishment, now called The Irish Pub.

The number of people in the scene varies.  It could be anywhere from 2 to 100.  If they aren't all represented on this website, it is either cause they are afraid cameras steal their souls or they just don't show up on film.  It is their fault not mine for lack of trying.
